Covid-19

We wanted to take this opportunity to reach out to you all and explain what the Jersey Rouleurs are doing to mitigate any threat from the spread of the COVID-19 virus. We have implemented a proactive plan to protect our riders, members and the club from potential exposure.

We are keeping a very close eye on the situation as it develops and we want to reassure you that our intention is to follow best practice set out by British Cycling, Jersey Cycling Association, Jersey Sport and the Government of Jersey, and we have put in place measures to help achieve this.

WHAT WE’RE DOING:

  • ALL group rides are suspended from tomorrow (Friday 19th March 2020).
  • ALL trips are postponed on the assumption that we will unable to travel anyway, hopefully this situation will change and we will monitor it on a daily basis.
  • We are arranging “Meet Up” group rides on Zwift. These will take place at the same time as our regular rides and everyone is free to join in!

We will continue to update you through emails, on our website and via our social media channels. You can also still contact us if you need to by telephone or by email in the usual way.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility at this time and hope you understand the reasons for this communication and the temporary changes being put in place. Once the situation stabilises we will restart the group rides immediately.

The Cog and Sprocket is open as usual for now, more information on the situation there can be found here: www.cogandsprocket.je/covid-19
